Tax-Free Donations of Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)

We are excited to share an excellent opportunity: If you are at least 70½ years old, you may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA directly to Sweeten Life Systems. When done properly, a QCD is excluded from taxable income even if you don’t itemize deductions. If you are taking RMDs (required starting at age 73), a QCD counts toward your RMD for the year. In 2025, you can donate up to $108,000 per person from your IRA as a QCD.

Steps to Complete a QCD:

1. Contact your IRA custodian to request a charitable distribution to Sweeten Life Systems.
2. Specify the amount (up to $108,000 per person for 2025) and ensure it is sent directly from your IRA to the organization.
3. Confirm your distribution qualifies as a QCD so it counts toward your RMD if applicable.
4. Keep the acknowledgment letter we provide for your tax records.
